Texas Water Development Board Grant Awards – Flood Infrastructure Fund: Drainage Improvement Projects – Pasadena (Location 7)
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has awarded $1,399,000 in grant and loan funding for necessary drainage improvements in the Pasadena Place and Glover Park Subdivision.
Project Overview
The proposed drainage improvements aim to address flooding issues along Pasadena Drive, affecting both North Pasadena Drive and South Pasadena Drive. The project will enhance the stormwater system and add new inlets to better manage rainwater runoff.

- Channel excavation
- Addition of 17 curb inlets
- Construction of 2,900 linear feet of stormwater-conveying system
Current Issues:
- Flooding along Pasadena Drive
- Flooding at the North and South Pasadena Street intersection, particularly near the existing single inlet
- High water levels on roads and near homes during heavy rainfall
- Insufficient and undersized storm sewer and inlet system
- Road capacity unable to convey design flow
Community Benefits:
These improvements will reduce flooding and enhance stormwater infrastructure resilience, benefiting the densely populated residential areas in Pasadena Place and Glover Park Subdivision.
