🦟 The City of Kingsville Health Department Animal Control & Care Center received notification of two mosquito pools that tested positive for West Nile Virus from the Texas Department of State Health Services lab. The mosquitoes were trapped September 10th near the 700 block of E. Warren Ave and the 500 block of E. Doddridge Avenue.
👷 Crews will begin spraying the affected areas tonight. Other arbovirus testing remains negative.
👖 We do recommend residents wear long sleeves and long pants if outdoors at dawn and dusk. You should also use a mosquito repellant that contains DEET.
💧 Remember to check your property for any standing water. Buckets, tires & bird feeders can facilitate mosquito breeding.
