🦟The City of Kingsville Health Department Animal Control & Care Center received notification of a mosquito that tested positive for West Nile Virus from the Texas Department of State Health Services lab. The mosquito was trapped August13th near the 700 block of E. Warren Ave.

👷Crews will begin spraying the affected areas tonight. Other arbovirus testing remains negative.

👖We do recommend residents wear long sleeves and long pants if outdoors at dawn and dusk. You should also use a mosquito repellant that contains DEET.

💧Remember to check your property for any standing water. Buckets, tires & bird feeders can facilitate mosquito breeding.

👉Keeping your lawn maintained will also help curb mosquito breeding.
